Designing for Accessibility: Essential Dos and Don'ts for Inclusive Digital Experiences
April 21, 2025
In 2016, Karwai Pun of Home Office Digital created a series of posters laying out general guidelines for designing for various disabilities. These posters are meant to present general guidelines, not rigid rules, but can be a great starting point when designing digital materials. These posters include guidelines for screen readers, physical disabilities, low vision, hearing impairments, neurodivergence, and dyslexia. To view the full series of posters, visit the following link: Designing for Accessibility.
The aim of these posters is to raise awareness of various conditions through good design practice. Being mindful of not just our own needs, but the needs of others can help ensure accessibility for all.
